As a podcaster, I spend a lot of time editing audio. For many years I made it by just fine on free audio editing software like Audacity. Audacity is fine – but once I got to try out Audition, I knew I could never go back.
What won me over was the ability to clean up audio with annoying background noises and the ability to manage volume disparity without ending up with a wonky sounding recording.
Adobe Audition CS6 will set you back over $300, but it’s well worth it.
