Nominate A Mom for the 2010 #wahmwish!

Christmas is almost here and it’s time to get the 2010 #wahmwish underway!  As we have done in previous years, we want to bless Work at Home Moms with tools and resources they need to take their business to the next step – for free!

This year we’re giving away:

  • Virtual Assistance Services
  • Writing Services
  • Editing Services
  • Coaching Services
  • Learning Resources
  • Information Products
  • Web Hosting
  • Design Services
  • Mom Masterminds Memberships

Literally thousands of dollars in resources and services have been donated for this year’s #wahmwish!  (We’ll tell you who and what next week!)

With all of the resources and talented services, we are going to be able to help several awesome WAHMs boost their businesses and achieve more goals in 2011!

Do you know a mom that could use a special helping hand?

Tell us about her, by leaving a comment below – tell us who she is and why you want to nominate her for the #wahmwish.

All of the nominations will be carefully considered here at WAHM Talk Radio and we’ll choose between two and five moms to help – and give them a package of services and resources that are best suited to their unique needs based on a free one on one consult with Kelly.

You have until midnight on Christmas Eve to nominate a mom you care about.  We’ll be notifying our #wahmwish recipients on Christmas Day and will make public announcements in the next episode of WAHM Talk Radio.

  1. I’d love to nominate my friend Laura Jackson for a design service. She has an amazing entrepreneur mind and brilliant crafting finger (or ten!). She started Hailey Mae Boutique as a way to make income for her family. She really needs a website that is as wonderful as she is and that she can sell her goods, blog, and just make her dream a reality. She is quickly learning how to engage on Twitter & Facebook and is becoming quite the coupon blogger!

I want to nominate my friend Isabel because she’s just starting out, and she could use some help streamlining and deciding where to go with her business. She definitely has what it takes to make it, she just needs a little help getting there and wading through the technology stuff. She could use some coaching to help her focus on the right things to do for her business at the right times, instead of wasting effort or undervaluing herself. i.furie@gmail.com / http://furiephotography.com

I want to nominate Cynthia from Adorable Baby Clothing (http://adorablebabyclothing.com), an online children’s boutique of clothing, toys and more. Cynthia is a single mom running a business out of her home and helping to raise her twin granddaughters while her daughter attends nursing school. Cynthia is an amazing business woman who not only provides a service but a friendship. I met Cynthia as a customer and have had the good fortune of learning from her and her entrepreneur spirit. Cynthia is growing her online presence building her customer base while adding to her number of friends due to her excellent customer service, quality of clothing and the extra step she puts forward for her customers. WahmWish would be an excellent gift of resources for Cynthia who single handedly manages her home business. This would help her manage her existing business while providing an avenue to grow.

In today’s digital device driven world, a parents’ love, guidance & time is needed more than ever… Judy is one of the most loving and dedicated moms I have ever met. For this reason, I profoundly nominate Judy Joyce , wife of a deployed military soldier, devoted mom to 3 daughters, grandmother of one, founder of a non-profit organization to help kids being treated for epilepsy – http://www.angels4epilepsy.org and successful blogger of – http://www.healthbeautychildrenandfamily.com/.

Judy is not only a wonderful mom, she is a kind & gentle spirit, a generous human being who is the first to give when help is needed. I strongly feel Judy is deserving to be one of your Moms for the 2010 #wahmwish!

    Thank you!

I want to nominate my friend Judy Joyce. She is one of the most amazing women I have the honor of calling friend. She has a fantastic blog, has helped her young daughter start a non-profit called Angels for Epliepsy, and is one of the most supportive people I’ve ever encountered. She’s always looking out for others, trying to help them solve problems, find better ways to do things, and just a great mentor. I am constantly amazed to see how she is always supporting so many others, and think she is highly deserving of this. I’ve put links to her blog, and Angels for Epilepsy site so you can see for yourself.

  6. I would like to nominate my friend Katie for coaching. She is starting a new site and needs coaching on money making ability with it. Her current site is http://www.ashoppersquest.com/ and the new site is: http://katietalkscarolina.com/. The new site is not finished yet.

I also would like to nominate Ros Guerro. She invented and started her own company as a result of her daughter. It’s called FICKLETS, and it’s adornments for children’s glasses–making them more fun to wear rather than a “have to” cause my mom said so thing. The idea is so simple, and yet so innovative–one of those “why didn’t I think of that” type of ideas–and yet, Ros did. Being concerned about her daughter’s self-esteem and trying to find a way to make wearing glasses more fun, she did just that. Beyond that Ros is another amazing woman, who’s always lending ideas, and a hand to other women entreprenuers. Getting a business up and running successfully is a challenge in the best of economic climates, and I think winning this would be an amazing gift that could help push her to the next level.

  8. Hi! I would like to nominate my friend Pam. She has experienced much hardship the past few years. Being disabled for the last 4 years (she has a stomach condition called gastroparesis & she suffers from bi-polar disorder) and it has really hurt her financially. and this could help her immensely.
    She runs 4 blogs:

    My Personal Blog ~ http://www.ScreamingMimiBlog.com
    Oskar’s Blog ~ http://www.OskarsBlog.com
    Pet Blogs United ~ http://www.PetBlogsUnited.com
    My Book Reviews ~ http://www.MimisBookBlog.com

The most popular one is Pet Blogs United where she helps bring together and promote pet bloggers from all over the world.

It would be fabulous if Pam could win this! Thanks so much!

  9. I would like to nominate my sister, Amber Smith. She’s shown interest in getting set up doing some virtual assistant services. I’ve hired her myself to do things such as typing and writing, but I know she can do so much more. I’ve tried to take the time to help her out, but it’s hard for me to come up with a plan when I’m pretty much still working on my own plan. They recently experienced a huge financial hardship when her husband was in an accident and burned his arm. He’s been out of work because of it for a month or so and will be out another month or more before he can go back. If she could get some supplemental income coming in, I know it would help her not only financially, but emotionally.

  10. Nancy Lewis says:

I would like to nominate my daughter Lois Graham. She is a devoted wife and mother. Lois home schools her two children, gives her time in teaching preschoolers at church each week. Her web site is to help other mothers and teachers of young children. Always having helpful hints and material for teaching and everyday use. Lois is the most loving and giving person i know, she would do anything for anyone. I would like to see her receive this as it could be a help and encouragement to her.
    Her website is: http://buildingblocks4life.com/

  11. Judy says:

I would also like to nominate Ros from Ficklets. This innovative idea to help build self esteem with children wearing glasses is simple yet ingenious. Ros’ mission was initially established to help her beautiful daughter like her own glasses. As her idea became a realization, she found an unanticipated benefit of helping other children. Ros is a very giving person and donates many of her Ficklets as well as serves as a resource and inspiration to other women trying to realize their own dreams of starting a business. Ros, being a single run business entrepreneur, could use the resources from this package to help her continue to grow and become bigger. http://www.ficklets.com
