Well Looky Here, It’s Chrissy Jensen

I want to take a brief moment of your time to introduce myself. I am Christa Jensen, Chrissy if you will. I will be interning here on Work at Home Moms Talk Radio, a site and show I have had the pleasure to witness in its infant stage and watch grow into what it is now.

I started my online venture in 2001, only to really call myself a work at home mom near 2003 when I found like minded woman striving for the same thing I so desired and that was to make a living at home.

Finding I was not cut out to make it in direct sales, I looked within and grasped onto one love, ART. My very first website I built for my very first business attempt was in fact built by me. I took an unofficial course that my dad took the semester before at the local community college for web design. I went through the curriculum and learned all there was to learn at that time and created a mighty nice website.

I have kept up with the changes, learned cascading style sheets, and learned how to work in WordPress and Blogger. As the concepts change and things are built upon I am right there ready to learn something new. However, my greatest love of designing is creating the actual graphics! The signal most gratifying response of my clients on the graphic is “You nailed it”.

Art and design are not my only loves, I also adore writing. In college I was quite good at it, rather I was good at even before college, but hearing a professor say it just makes it so…in my mind anyway.

Blogging to me was inevitable because of my desire to write and need to. In fact, journaling is something I have always done and continue to do in notebooks. I started blogging personally in 2004 when the concept was completely new to me. I continue to blog now and love it on all levels, my personal blog, craft blog and WAHM blog.

Having had the pleasure of having a writing coach last year, I have learned many things about my writing style and my personal writing abilities. Knowing I am still good at it is a definite boost to continue in my growth. It is now time to continue with what I learned and add to this process to grow as a blogger.

On a personal note, I am a mother of four amazing kids ranging in ages of 2 years old to 15 years old. I have been married to my high school sweetheart since 1993. I cherish my family and time spent with them, which is why I chose to work from home!

Even more personal I will share I am terribly outspoken, incredibly loyal and a riot to be around. I am not shy and tend to speak my mind to a fault at times. People seem to love me the way I am. Although I am always striving to grow as a person, I can honestly say I am happy with whom I am right now.

I will cut this introduction here, I am but one WAHM and WAHM Talk Radio is about you and me both, Right? So tell me, what is it you want to come from my fingers to these keys? What is it you want to hear from this intern? Inquiring minds need to know!

I certainly juggle my work schedule with the age ranges of my children and the fact I home school, which I seemed to have not mentioned in my intro. I can for sure rock the tips on this subject!

Hi Chrissy, nice to meet you!

What would you say to a busy mommy with young kids that is looking to make a passive income online? Perhaps she already has a website, but no clear direction on where to start.

Looking forward to reading more from you!
